  HEDGELAYING
Lincolnshire | Nottinghamshire | Rutland | Melton Mowbray

SNB Grounds Care offer professional Hedgelaying services in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Melton Mowbray, and all surrounding villages, and is a contractor member of the National Hedge Laying Society.

We work with Estates, Farmers, Land Managers, and Equestrian owners, as well as Domestic & Residential customers, to offer Hedgelaying services.

We can also assist with the Countryside Stewardship BN5:Hedgelaying, and BN10:Top Binding Supplement applications if required.

Hedgelaying is a traditional rural craft spanning hundreds of years and consists of many regional styles, each with a specific purpose. It is a practice used to both stock proof hedges, as well as manage, rejuvenate, and prolong the lifespan of predominantly agricultural hedges, though many species can be successfully laid. We undertake Hedgelaying from September to March, with extension into April available if permissible.

We use the Midlands (Bullock) style of Hedgelaying. Most projects are priced by the metre, but the condition of the hedge, access, and management of arisings, affect the meterage price, but generally most projects are priced by the metre, generally at £20.00 plus stakes & binders.
